PGM recycling for Chlor-alkali industry

Transform how your chlorine and chlorine related production facility handles precious metal reuse with Circle PGM’s chemical-free, non-destructive circular solution.

Partner of Euro Chlor

Circle PGM is proud to partner with Euro Chlor in developing innovative and sustainable solutions for the chlor-alkali industry. As a trusted partner, Circle PGM brings in-depth expertise and a pragmatic approach to enhance safety, efficiency, and circularity across the sector.

Introduction

What we do

At Circle PGM, we support chlor-alkali producers in recovering precious metals from precious metal-coated electrodes — using a proprietary, non-destructive, chemical-free process. Our approach extends the lifespan of your equipment, cuts replacement costs, and ensures full compliance with environmental regulations. Whether your goal is to boost sustainability or reduce operational expenses, we help you achieve both — with zero compromise.

Benefits

Maximise recovery, lower environmental impact.

For chlor-alkali facilities, transitioning to a circular recovery process with Circle PGM isn’t just good for the planet – it’s a strategic move for your business.

Cut costs through re-use

Our non-toxic process allows you to recover the spent precious metal layer and reuse the cleaned substrates. significantly reducing the need for costly replacements.

The result: lower production costs, improved TCU, and extended equipment lifespan.

Ensure environmental compliance

…while lowering your operational footprint.

Gain transparency and control

With real-time tracking, full documentation, and verified PGM content analysis, you get a clear, honest and transparent insight into the value and outcome of every batch – making planning, reporting, and scaling easier than ever.

Services

We offer full-service solutions

Collect

Through advanced refining techniques, recovered residue is transformed into high-quality precious metals like iridium and ruthenium, ensuring maximum recovery and minimal waste.

Recover

Our unique in-house recovery process results in a low-volume-high-concentrate residue, which increases your yield and lowers your indirect refining costs significantly.

Refine

Through advanced refining techniques, recovered residue is transformed into high-quality precious metals like iridium, ruthenium, platinum, palladium, rhodium, gold and silver. ensuring recovery and minimal waste.

Reuse

Optional

Option for a closed-loop system where refined metals are returned as products like iridium chloride (IrCI) or ruthenium chloride (RuCI), ready for reuse in your operations. Or, to the core definition of circularity; receive a newly coated anode back. Coated with revert precious metals.

Products

Precious metal products.

Through our advanced recovery process, and then refining, spent precious metal coatings are transformed into high-purity compounds- such as, but not limited to, iridium chlorides (IrCl) and ruthenium chloride (RuCl). These reclaimed materials can be made to your specification and returned to you, ready for reuse in your coating applications.

IrCl

Our recovery process yields high concentrated-low-volume residue, which reduces costs in refining. After the refining process, the metal can be transformed into a chloride or a sponge, and returned to you, making you less dependent on raw materials, with lower costs.

RuCl

Our recovery process yields high concentrated-low-volume residue, which reduces the costs of refining. After the refining process, the metal can be transformed into a chloride or a sponge, and returned to you, making you less dependent on raw materials, with lower costs.

Refurbished anodes

Extend the life of your anodes with our non-destructive coating removal process. We recover the spent layer, prepare the surface and refurbish the anode, ensuring they are ready for immediate reuse.

Circular Economy

Closed-loop system

A closed-loop system is the key to sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective operations. By continuously recycling and reusing materials, you reduce waste, lower emissions, and minimize reliance on newly mined resources. This not only helps you meet environmental regulations, but also strengthens your business in reaching its sustainability targets.

Circularity, in its purest form, means returning a product to its original state — as it was. That’s the essence of a true closed-loop system. And that is exactly what we have created — a one-stop shop for full-circle precious metal recovery and supply.

Looking for advise about transitioning to a closed loop system? We are happy to offer our expertise.

How does Circle PGM handle logistics?

Circle PGM works with long term logistics partners across the globe. This ensures trustworthy and secure shipments

What materials can Circle PGM recover?

We handle a wide variety of materials containing precious metals (PGMs) in all shapes and sizes. Our specialty lies in iridium and ruthenium coated materials, which we process using our unique, chemical-free method.

Is Circle PGM compliant with European environmental regulations?

Yes, Circle PGM is compliant with European environmental regulations. Our innovative, chemical-free recovery process aligns with the standards for sustainability, safety, and environmental protection. We continue to improve on a daily basis.

What materials can be recovered and refined?

If your material contains precious metals, recovery is possible, even from very low concentrations. Whether it involves coated materials, solids, liquids, hazardous substances, organics, catalysts, or any other form shape or size, our team is here to assist you. Feel free to get in touch with us!

What’s the difference between destructive and non-destructive coating removal?

Destructive coating removal breaks down both the coating and the substrate, making the substrate unusable. Non-destructive removal, however, separates the coating while preserving the substrate, allowing it to be reused. At Circle PGM, we specialize in non-destructive, chemical-free method to recover precious metals sustainably

Benefits

Choose circular profitability

01
Non-toxic coating removal

Our chemically-free, non-destructive method for coating removal is harmless for the environment and our workforce. We deliver cleaner, safer recovery that meets modern sustainability standards.

02
Flexible payment options

When you require a quick payment for your material, we would be able to accommodate just that. No need to wait for the full refining terms. Please get in touch with our specialists to enquire what we could do for you.

Collaboration is the engine of progress.

We firmly believe that true progress happens when we work together. Close collaboration takes you further than going it alone — and only by joining forces can we make circularity a lasting success.
