Reuse

Circularity to its core: creating the same new product from end-of-life material. No upcycling, no downgrading.

Introduction

Out with the old, in with the new-old?

Circularity is what drives us, making a sustainable impact. But what does that actually mean? As it seems there are many different definitions of sustainability and circularity. Our definition is creating the new from the old, maximizing the use of revert (precious) metals. The bar has been set.

Services

Our services include:

Analysis of the spent material

Upon receipt of your spent electrode/ anode material, we have our specialists carefully evaluate the state of the substrate.

Advise

Having a great understanding of the use of the products in the customer’s process, we will be able to determine if the substrate is usable for a recoat or it would be better to be scrapped. An excellent price Circle PGM can pay, due to the close collaborations with various (base) metal smelters.

Processing of the old

After evaluation, and the customer’s approval, we will start the processing of the spent anode. Carefully documented in your dedicated customer portal.

Supply of the new

After receipt of the customer’ specification and review of our experts, We supply the new anodes, where possible made from used substrate material. Coated with revert precious metals.

Refining is a metallurgical art form.

Turning residues into pure metals is as close as physics comes to magic.

About us

Sustainability

Maximise recovery, lower environmental impact.

Integrating recycling into your operations is already a great step toward a healthier planet. For us, sustainability isn’t an add-on—it’s built into every part of our process, starting with collection.

Non-chemical coating removal

A unique method in the market. No toxic residues, no hazardous by-products, not creating a problem by solving another. Straight forward recovery.

Setting the state for the rest of the industry.

No-nonsense, honest and transparent precious metal recovery work. Serving our customers the best way we possibly can.

Leaving morphology and structures intact

With our in-house engineered equipment we’re able to leave the structures and morphology of your anodes intact, providing the possibility for recoat and therefore lowering the total cost of usage of your products (TCU). Giving our customers a commercial head-start.

Could you advise in what sort of Mixed Metal Oxide combination would be suitable for our process?

Yes, in a conversation with our experts, getting a good understanding of your processes and requirements, we will be able to give advice on coating.

Is our own recovered precious metal used for the recoating?

It can be. However, the refining of precious metals takes time. Therefore we use metals which are in our pipeline.

Are you limited to locations where you cannot supply?

We can supply in every location in the world. Besides the sanctioned countries, we can supply everywhere.

How does Circle PGM handle logistics?

Circle PGM works with long term logistics partners across the globe. This ensures trustworthy and secure shipments

What materials can Circle PGM recover?

We handle a wide variety of materials containing precious metals (PGMs) in all shapes and sizes. Our specialty lies in iridium and ruthenium coated materials, which we process using our unique, chemical-free method.

Is Circle PGM compliant with European environmental regulations?

Yes, Circle PGM is compliant with European environmental regulations. Our innovative, chemical-free recovery process aligns with the standards for sustainability, safety, and environmental protection. We continue to improve on a daily basis.

What materials can be recovered and refined?

If your material contains precious metals, recovery is possible, even from very low concentrations. Whether it involves coated materials, solids, liquids, hazardous substances, organics, catalysts, or any other form shape or size, our team is here to assist you. Feel free to get in touch with us!

What’s the difference between destructive and non-destructive coating removal?

Destructive coating removal breaks down both the coating and the substrate, making the substrate unusable. Non-destructive removal, however, separates the coating while preserving the substrate, allowing it to be reused. At Circle PGM, we specialize in non-destructive, chemical-free method to recover precious metals sustainably

Is the collection process disruptive to operations?

We will keep the disruption to an absolute minimum. Due to excellent communication with your internal team and our specialists, our service on your site will be hardly noticeable. Teamwork makes the world go round.

Can you collect from international locations?

Absolutely, from all “corners of the earth” is material coming to Circle PGM. Due to our extensive reach, together with our logistical partners, we are able to service you anywhere.

What happens after the collection?

Our team is in close contact with our logistics partners. Knowing exactly the whereabouts of our material, wherever in the world. Your material comes to our site in Etten Leur as soon as possible, without any detours. As soon as your material touches ground at our site, our preliminary checks start and you’ll be notified through your personalized customer portal.

Is there a minimum quantity that we need to send?

Not necessarily. We appreciate every single job. However, we will advise prior to processing when our experts expect a potentially not economically viable project. We always talk this through with our customers and decide together. Our role is to advise the best way we can.

Would you be available for rush jobs?

Of course, if your processes are hinging on something we could assist you with, we will continue to work till the job is done. Evening, weekend; when it is important for you, it is important for us.

What happens if material is not what is expected?

We are 100% committed to finding a solution that works for our customers. Transparent communication and honesty.

Would a sample of the residue be made available for our own analysis?

Absolutely. We can send you a sample of your material upon request.

Who is the owner of the metals during the refining process?

The customer is, until the moment the payment has been done in full, the customer remains the owner of the metal.

Are you having a long term relationship with your partners?

Yes, with all companies we work with, we’ve established a very strong relationship. We believe this is the foundation of success.

How do you determine the value of the metal?

Based on the final assay, the actual content of precious metals is determined. That content is then paid to the customer to the agreed terms.

Is there a risk of mixing different materials during refining?

No, we work per batch. All separated during refining. Therefore that risk is mitigated.
