Gadolinium zirconate suspension is designed for the production of columnar thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) using Suspension Plasma Spray (SPS).
SPS offers an alternative route to Electron Beam Physical Vapour Deposition (EB-PVD), enabling columnar coating structures with low thermal conductivity and long service life.
